A Study of Procopius in Rome, Florence, and Paris

My name is Matthew Smith; I'm a student of Greek History at Southern Utah University. I'm from Rochester, New York. For my EDGE (Education Designed to Give Experience) project, I elected to continue my study of the historian Procopius by undergoing paleographic research at the Vatican, Medici, and French National Libraries. This website is a living cronicle of that experience, and the development of a thesis paper disclosing my conclusions about Procopius' place in the historiographic record. This is my first trip to Europe, having previously travelled to Canada. Aside from research, my interests include playing guitar, reading, building computers, restoring typewriters, and spending time with loved ones.
